A problem according to the big
“G” (Google) is a matter or situation regarded as unwelcome or harmful and
needing to be dealt with and overcome.
NEEDING TO BE “DEALT WITH” &
“OVERCOME!”
What that simply means is, you
have to do something about your problems! Now, I don’t think there is a sure
way to solve every problem, the best way will always depend on the nature of
the problem.
There is however one “solution”
that will surely never solve any of your problems but somehow many of us often
choose it first whenever a problem comes up;
Worry!
When you worry, you plant a nasty seed for your
future. Everything will stop; suddenly you will feel out of options then finally
everything will crash. You’ll then say “damn, i knew it” but really you didn’t
and no one ever knows—you just worried yourself into that ditch.
Regardless of the size of your problem, when it
comes, it has come and unless you are a PVR decoder, you can’t fast forward to
“happy ever after” or back track to “before this scene” or freeze the
situation.
No amount of worry will make your partner love
you more, you can’t worry yourself into a job promotion, you will never worry
yourself out of rent, utilities, debts and no amount of worry will reverse your
positive pregnancy test.
The most interesting thing about worrywarts is that in a strange
way, they are convinced it makes sense; they feel justified and to them, worry
is a necessary step in resolving issues. Truth is, worry is just anxiety backed
by excuses built by our minds.
Your mind will blow even the smallest problems
out of proportion if you let it because—it is your chief situation engineer and
worry is a product of your mind!
Have you noticed how “challenge” sounds lighter
than “problem”? In fact, a “challenge” has a powerful ring to it; it fills you
with an urge to do something but essentially a challenge is another word for
problem and it’s just your mind playing tricks. You have the power to control how long or how
well your mind plays in the face of problems.
Instead of worrying, BE 100% PRESENT! Acknowledge that the problem has come and with good HARD thinking, control your actions to easily find your way around possible outcomes—REAL SOLUTIONS!
